Without Warning Published
After five years of research and writing, Tom’s historical novel, Without Warning, about the sinking of the Athenia on the first day of World War II, is published. Tom started researching the book in 2012 after reading his grandmother’s account of her experiences as an Athenia survivor. He interviewed five survivors and four descendants of survivors, as well as conducted research at archives and libraries in Scotland, England, Germany and the United States.
